Microsoft Live Mesh

I just got my beta access to the Live Mesh services.  This is the first page you get as a new user.  I’m going to start playing around with it today to see how it can be used and how it can be pushed to its limits.  At first I was a little doubtful about this service.  It seems a little like Groove or .Mac.

I’ve got the Live Desktop working, but haven’t been able to add my computer as a device.  I installed the local app service but all I get is this little lovely status message:

The Live Desktop looks a bit like Skydrive

Drag and drop doesn’t work yet for placing files on the Live Desktop.  What is interesting is that it’s aware of the act and stops the user and tells them that the service isn’t available yet but will be.

I’m going to keep plugging away at it and and hopefully will have some luck with the devices portion soon
